Looking far back into the ancient history of the Earth, few dispute that major cataclysmic events impacted on the evolution of life on our planet, most specifically five major extinction events, a few of which can without doubt be attributed to extraterrestrial influences. The most well known of these was obviously the giant asteroid which plummeted to earth about sixty-five million years ago, resulting in the extinction of the dinosaurs, and lucky for us, the proliferation of mammals, and eventually, the very existence of mankind.
More recently - only about thirteen thousand years ago - another cataclysmic event, spoken about for the past decade by visionary trailblazers like Graham Hancock, John Anthony West, Robert Shock, Randall Carlson and many many more, which brought about the extinction of the mammoth and thousands of other species of life, and might have obliterated ancient civilisations, or at the very least, drove humanity back into the stone age, literally. Could there be truth in their evidence and observations? Could there have been some form of ancient global civilisation that was effectively wiped off the face of the earth, resulting in a global scotoma for five thousand years, until after hunting and gathering for five or six thousand years, we all of a sudden find civilisation and agriculture flourishing and cradles of civilisation all over the world.
Was this quantum leap in our evolution the work of ‘the gods’? Or maybe extraterrestrials, or maybe even survivors of an ancient pre-cataclysmic advanced civilisation who suddenly re-appeared on the earthscape and herded primitives as gods, to rebuild the future as it has unfolded. And this got me thinking. Could you imagine if a massive comet or asteroid was heading our way on a certain collision course with Earth, and it was large enough to cause a mass extinction event. And what if learned, informed and educated men and women knew about it. Is this far fetched? Not actually. Every year, we pass through the Taurid Asteroid stream - twice. It is packed with hundreds of thousands of asteroids ranging from the size of sand particles to some massive asteroids up to fifty kms in diameter. And incidentally, asteroids from the Taurids have crashed down on our planet before. And many believe the asteroid which crashed down onto the Greenland ice sheet, causing the last major cataclysm Hancock and others are talking about, thirteen thousand years ago, was from the Taurid asteroid stream.
So, say our leaders of politics, science and commerce knew about such an asteroid - as in the movie Deep Impact and many more, what would they do, how would they act? Well it’s pretty obvious they would immediately run for the press to inform the world. There would be no point. Would they simply give up and resign themselves to fate? I strongly doubt it. Especially with the technology, innovation and incredible minds at their disposal.
When the asteroid hits, three things: most of life on earth will end, the earth will probably be unsuitable for life for years, if not decades, centuries or even millennia, and finally, it would be impossible to evacuate mankind to live in space or another planet, at least until normality returns.
And from a different perspective, the earth and her inhabitants are moving into challenging times. There are too many of us breeding too quickly and no signs of changing, mankind has gone crazy, obsessed only with making money, killing each other, and squabbling for resources. Would they really want to save everyone, even if they could?
So what would they do? For years we have heard stories of massive arks or vaults where the seeds of every plant and DNA of just about every species on earth are tightly locked under controlled conditions, specifically against an earth extinction event. Great plan, but if there was an MEE (Mass Extinction Event), who would still be around knowing where the vault is, how to open it, and then set the process in motion to plant all around the world? They say that if there was an MEE, cities and towns and civilisation in its entirety would be most vulnerable since city dwellers have no survival skills, and the hunter gatherers would most likely have the best chance of making it. And they would probably not be up to the task.
Perhaps to get an idea how leaders would respond, we simply need to look back a few years. To protect themselves from aerial bombing during the second world war, basements and bomb shelters were built. During the heat of the Cold War, we learned of nuclear bomb shelters.
So if leaders knew, they would probably have two options: Build massive and massively reinforced bomb shelters or space ships and space stations. Both would be well within the reach of existing innovation and technology. But obviously they would not be aiming to shelter or take everyone. These numbers would be selected carefully - by them. And the election process would probably be the most closely guarded secret on Earth.
They say you need less than 200 people to kick-start a population. That kind of number would be feasible for both options. So our look at the rising interest of the mega-powerful and mega-rich in space exploration. We hear it is both to expand our knowledge and for commercial value in the future. But is this the real reason we are trying to set up space stations and a station in Mars, simply for science or tourism.
I look at the world and sometime find it incredulous that there can be suck chaos and short-sightedness where man lays his hand, and leaders seem to simply goad the fire, as opposed to try stifle it. And the only thing I can think of which would spark such action, were if someone had no intention of being locked in - there was some Plan B, exit strategy.
Is this just conspiracy speculation? Maybe, but look at the facts, and look back to the past. Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval and many others have shown beyond doubt that ancient structures such as the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, Gobekli Tepi, Tiohuacan, and many others all over the world are dated to before twelve thousand years ago. Incredible feats of engineering and craftsmanship impossible without high-tech tools. And five thousand years later, back to hunting and gathering. But then pulled into line by the Annunaki, ‘the Gods and deities, or ancient aliens, all depicted almost identically all over the world, some coming from the sky, some from underground, and all supposed to have brought agriculture, and civilisation and religion to mankind virtually simultaneously, all over the world.
Were they the survivors of the last cataclysm? Survivors of an ancient civilisation that leverage their technology and innovation to convince the primitives they were Gods, so they could urbanise them and get them to do their bidding. As one of the subjects discussed in my book Godsplay which I have been researching for the past two years, I believe this is the case, and substantiate my findings in detail, in the book which I hope to release by the middle of next year. So why are we building space ships, when there are other issues which should possibly be prioritised. But apart from the why, as Hancock reasons, if we had to learn of an asteroid heading our way, with enough warning, top scientists believe with the technology and know how we have at present, theoretically we would be able to deflect it from its trajectory and save the planet. We know asteroids are out there and one of them has planet Earth in its sights. As they say, it is not a question of if, it’s a question of when. So instead of spending money on weapons of war and possible escape vehicles, should we be looking at the bigger picture, realising that we all swim together or sink together, and apply our minds to our purpose on this planet, as the custodians of creation.
